Web browser statistics are very important to a web developer. If you don't know what a particular Web page looks like in each browser the entire web site is useless. If your users or clients cannot navigate or see your web site clearly because your site isn't compatible with their browser that could be lost revenue or visitors to your site everyday.
The five leading web browsers being used today are: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Netscape. The number of Netscape users is slowly dwindling after the discontinuation of updates for the browser.
